This song describes the journey home after the towers collapsed. Everyone was in shock and we weren’t sure if it was over just yet. I remember not being able to see well through the dark clouds of smoke and realizing the nothing’s the same.

Story behind the song
This song comprises my memories of the later hours of Sept 11. Walking back home after the Towers collapsed alone with my thoughts. I began to watch the news and I remember the voice President George W. Bush assuring the country that there would be immediate action. At that moment, history was changed and nothing will ever be the same.
Lyrics
NOTHING’S THE SAME As I walk I’m ankle deep in ashes In disbelief all other thoughts have disappeared Looking up Wall Street, there’s a shape a shadow It’s the steeple of the church of Trinity   BRIDGE Where were you God? Were you here? Did you see what’s going on?   It’s a world that’s change today I’m certain Nothing here will be the same, never the same   We proceed across the bridge to Brooklyn Lost in a sea of people everyone was saying BRIDGE Where were you God? Were you here? Did you see what’s going on?   CHORUS: I can’t see the sunshine I can’t feel the warmth of its rays Out of the darkness I know that nothing’s the same   When I get home I’ll have to wash these ashes From my cloths, my hands, my face and from my heart I won’t forget the things I’ve seen this morning And find the reason that my world was torn apart BRIDGE CHORUS:   ENTIRE CAST: So much to do So little, so little time So much to care for Their world, their world is mine
