Story behind the song
Initially written on an electric bass and further tweaked, a nighttime songwriting session with Mark and Derrick resulted in the darker-toned bridge over that has proven to be the song's second hook (the first being the walking bass riff). Lyrics came later, written by Mark and honed over time.
