Story behind the song
Pompeii, isn't that the lost city in Italy that got buried under soot and ash from mount Vesuvius and all it's inhabitants got wiped out? How does that have any relevance to you? "Because when I blow up, all other people in this Rap game are gonna be covered and wiped out!". That is a very profound statement, how can you back that up? "Just like all the sooth-sayers and spritualists warned the people of Pompeii of their impending demise, they mocked and scorned them. Who do you think got the very LAST laugh??". There is another layer or element to the song though isn't there? "Yes. It is the impending return of Christ and his relationship with GOD and how this world is turning into one big Sodom and Gamora and that these are infact the Last Days and we will have to do what we can to survive, if you don't have them on your side. It deals with the fact that something and someone who has never been here before, or the likes of which haven't been seen in a long time, is coming. Me. And I have something and someone behind me to help me and bolster the situation. The Real Big Man "upstairs" blessed me with talent and the ability to do this song and make the statments located within, I have no doubts. Do you?". Based on what I have seen, heard, feel and know about you? No. "Didn't think so".
