Not long ago I discovered a biker church called the Salvation Saloon. I don't know what made me decide to attend services there, but it ultimately changed, and saved my life. I was accepted for who I was without question, as is everyone there. This song is dedicated to those wonderful members of that church who truly understand God's love for everyone regardless of where they come from or who they are.
Riding With The Lord
© 2009 D. George
The road you choose to travel
Isna019t based on where youa019ve been.
Ita019s about the place you want to be
When you reach your journeya019s end.
To some it doesna019t matter
Just as long as they arrive.
It depends on if you ride to live
Or just living to survive.
Ia019ve never cared about what lies ahead of me.
I travel by the grace of God that sets my spirit free.
CHORUS:
I take the road where the sun always shines.
Where the cool breeze of forgiveness
Always brings me peace of mind.
And I know at the end of this ride,
That life was worth the journey,
Cuz I was riding with the Lord at my side.
At times I like to think on
All the places that Ia019ve been.
How I learned the lessons of my life
I wouldna019t want to learn again.
Through all the pain and heartache
He was there beside of me.
With a helping hand he offered
I was just too proud to see.
And in the hardest times I always turned to him.
And in spite of all my failures he was there for me again.
