A Bossa Nova inspired song that sounds nothing like a Bossa Nova.
One day while looking at a gift catalogue I noticed an ad for "Tiny people - mostly pedestrian" I thought it was a great song title & later that day while walking around the Mpls-Uptown area, I was taken by the variety of people that seemed to be dressed to be noticed but were going out of their way to blrnd in whith the scenery. The song began with that thought & then went in another direction. I like the subtle piano part. The original feel was more like "The Girl From Ipanema" whish I always liked as a kid.
MOSTLY PEDESTRIAN
Walkin' down an uptown street as it's about to rain
Different people pass me by but they all look the same
Simple folk with dreams & hope & fear & doubt & pain
Chorus: Millions of people - mostly pedstrian
Wondering why they're alone
Millions of people - mostly pedestrian
Don't even know where they're goin'
You look into their eyes - nobodys home
Late at night I think of friends I knew when I was young
I wonder do they think of me & where I might've gone
Or are we all just memories that one day just become?
Chorus
In the end it all comes down to what you think is real
But we're all just too afraid to show the way we feel
And as the last scene fades to black what will be revealed?
Chorus
