A song about London in the future, or is it now?

I wrote this song when I first moved to London in 1978. I was struck by the immense contrast between poverty and riches, fine buildings housing relics and crumbling tower-blocks housing people. I thought, "if it is this bad now, what will it be like in 100 years?"
I used my Gibson J200 wide open and later a good friend added the Claptonesque slide solo in the bridge.
Over 25 years later I'm sad to think that not a lot has changed on the streets of London (another great song!) when I see all the homeless people.
