Ideal love.
This combines an alternative version of Dylans Girl Of the north Country with lyrics of my own. Where both the girl and the singer add their own verses to the song. It ends up I think becoming a very different song.
If you're travelin' in the north country fair,
Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline,
Remember me to one who lives there.
For she once was a true love of mine.
If you go when the snowflakes storm,
When the rivers freeze and summer ends,
Please see she has a coat so warm,
To keep her from the howlin' winds. (and she says)
My love is like a summer time sunshine
Only more gentle and warm to the soul
My body bathes all in his glory
Its as real as his cross on the hill.
Please see if her hair hangs long,
If it rolls and flows all down her breast.
Please see for me if her hair's hanging long,
For that's the way I remember her best.
I'm a-wonderin' if she remembers me at all.
Many times I've often prayed
In the darkness of my night,
In the brightness of my day. (and I say)
My love is like a straight flying arrow
Only more gentle and right on the mark
It soars like an eagle and dives like a sparrow
Its as real as the nighttime is dark
So if you're travelin' the north country fair,
Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline,
Remember me to one who lives there.
For she once was a true love of mine. (and she says)
My love is like a deep flowing river
Only more gentle cleaner and true
It roars liek the ocean and sends out its echo
Its as real as the water is blue.
