Instrumental and vocal version of Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton played on electric guitar - but played finger style with an acoustic tone. I added an additional track of solo electric guitar accompaniment and a vocal track.

Story behind the song
Instrumental version of Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton played on electric guitar by Jim Signorile - but played finger style with an acoustic tone. I played this over a minimal rhythmic backing track on my Clapton signature strat named GOLDIE. I recently went back and added an additional track of solo electric guitar accompaniment over the basic guitar track I had already recorded and added vocals as well. I learned this song when I learned of the imminent passing of my wife's 106 year old grandmother in 2007, and I played it at her bedside - at the family's request - 2 days before she went to heaven.
Lyrics
Title: Tears In Heaven Composer: Eric Clapton =============== Would you know my name, If I saw you in heaven? Will it be the same, If I saw you in heaven? I must be strong, and carry on, 'Cause I know I don't belong... Here in heaven. Would you hold my hand, If I saw you in heaven? Would you help me stand, If I saw you in heaven? I'll find my way, through night and day, 'Cause I know I just can't stay... Here in heaven. Time can bring you down Time can bend your knee Time can break your heart Have you begging please, Begging please... (instrumental) Beyond the door, There's peace I'm sure. And I know there'll be no more... Tears in heaven. Would you know my name, If I saw you in heaven? Will it be the same, If I saw you in heaven? I must be strong, and carry on, 'Cause I know I don't belong... Here in heaven. Cause I know I don't belong... Here in heaven.
