Story behind the song
Composed for a friend and co-worker who did not follow his own advice to me... He bottled up his feelings to the point of taking his own life, and nobody truly new how fast he was drowning in his own flood. Although he did help me resolve some of my own "issues" and I was able to survive my own flooding events, he was not able keep himself afloat. It got me to think a lot about our conversations before he was swept away by a big storm in his life... This song is for Gerry Waters, and those that were left behind on the shores wondering - what!?
