A song about self-help with a happy ending.
Fusing classic New Wave with aggressive power grunge.
The following story is fictional and does not depict any actual person or event. Have a listen. It's still really good!
Sincerely,
Eddy Ghost

Story behind the song
I built the track as I composed it. The guitar on the left side was my original idea. After that, it's layering and find a bridge. I named the track, I'm Competition when saving it. It wasn't until my 2nd lyric rewrite that I truely found it's meaning.
Lyrics
I'M COMPETITION
-V1-
It's come to pass, all that glitter's isn't gold
Emotion's are cheap, they are easily bought and sold
True is the mind, the heart only wants to lie
Getting it's kicks when eyes open up to cry
-Hook-
Suddenly
-Bridge-
Suddenly I see, I'm competing with myself
Through you, to be cool, for confidence, for acceptance too
-Jazz Solo-
-V2-
When I look back, I won't regret this point in time
'cause, I survived the first mountain I'd yet to climb
I faced my fear, who cares the love wasn't there
I've found the strength to confront anything, anywhere
-Hook-
Suddenly, yeah suddenly
Now, suddenly, yeah suddenly
I'm Competition
