Story behind the song
Clay Hayes wrote this song about a young lady he was seeing at or shortly after they stopped seeing each other. Whenever he would take her out, he would ask her where she would like to go and/or what she would like to do. Whenever she replied, "I don't care," Clay would say, "Never say you don't care, just say you don't mind."
