My life
(Chorus)
“Its my life its now or never/
I’m not going to live forever/
I just want to live while I’m alive”
– Bon Jovie
Verse 1
I’m only thirteen; attention is a dire need/
Look at me, a reflection of society/
Held back by the things that I’d die to be/
Try to see a young mans irony/
The mind deceives and leaves the heart full of bad shit/
Eyes stretch wide like elastic/
I want it all because I never had shit/
Ashamed of my dad for living unestablished/
But what can I do? I’m still to young to understand this/
I got to keep my chin up I know we’ll manage/
We always do/
Even with a plan for success it’s hard to follow through/
Verse 2
This is my time see, so I’m will tell you bout the man behind the rhyme scheme/
My eyes gleam like a high beam/
I’m only nineteen, but I’ve learned a lot/
I’ve been a victim of stress and never turned to pot/
No time to waist, I passed on a lot of liquor/
I learned fast from an alcoholic father figure/
I’m not a quitter so I’ve never started shit/
But please don’t under estimate how hard it gets/
How dark it gets in the depth of my soul/
Trying to shed a little light to help me step on the stones/
So I can make it through until tomorrow when the day is new/
I’m staying true with the things that I say and do/
I just want to live life and never hold back/
I’ve got the heart of a king and I know that/
Verse 3
Looking back on my life I see a lot of success/
I wanted the best and didn’t have a lot of regrets/
I stayed strong and learned a lot about my own self/
I never did get rich but I had my own wealth/
I know now what this planets about/
I only learned that when I quit planning it out/
My troubles disappeared because I learned to be worry free/
I never let the little things burden me/
I’m certainly a spectacle to behold/
I kid with a plan at only seven years old/
And its strange how things change when your older/
I take a look at my pa and see a soldier/
It brings tears to my eyes because I’m growing closer to the end/
And a time when it’s all over/
