Currently numbering three; Rob Goss on Bass; John Woods on Guitar and Martin Kent on Keyboards, the band is half way through engineering their second CD; "Take It AS Red" which is the follow up to their first offering; F1RstLY which was released in 2000. Story behind the song
A friend of a friend used to sit on his window ledge at night time vacantly staring at the full moon. The song speculates on what was going through his mind until he is disturbed and brought back to reality.
Lyrics
Staring at the Moon. Walking in the wilderness there’s nothing left to see. It’s a paradox this desolation, stark tranquility. Scorched earth burns my soul while it sets my spirit free. I think “will I make it home”. It’s a possibility. Splendid isolation, oh it straightens out your mind. I am all alone in paradise, and never find the time, to call out how I’m feeling, as I’m looking for a sign. Is there anybody out there? What became of human kind. How I like to sit in the darkness, tapping out that same old tune. People say that I got the madness. I caught me staring at the moon. Far away the rolling thunder knocks me to the ground. Shake the dust out from my hair and there without a sound, the spectre of a golden age reminds me all too soon, that I’m out here on my own and I’m staring at the moon. How I like to sit in the darkness, tapping out that same old tune. People say that I got the madness. I caught me staring at the moon.
