Story behind the song
Just randomly thinking about our lives, the decisions we make and the outcomes to those decisions. Hindsight's always 20/20 but if we stay on target, things will generally work out the way they're supposed to.
Bryan wrote this track after dissecting a bunch of Paul McCartney tunes. Since Bryan writes entirely on piano, many of these tracks come from a 'piano player' perspective. Interesting chord changes, passing tones, etc. Listen to If Only I and All My Mistakes and imagine playing them entirely on a piano and you'll understand.
