Story behind the song
Prelude to Dream Machine was one of those rare inspired songs. I was listening to a lot of Incubus and Radiohead at the time, and they set the mood. I was thinking about how music has progressed over the years, and wanted to bring a classic rock feel to the song, but still have a modern edge. The song is both about escape and hope and the desire to relive the past and travel to a better future. It's a pleasant way of saying we are dissatisfied with our current world.

Where deer stroll peacefully past computers, As if they were flowers, With spinning blossoms, All watched over by machines of loving grace."
