Track 6 of the 'Made of Hate' demo EP, final one. There's a major difference between the verses in that the first is calm, nearly ambient, and the second suddenly turns into video game punk.

Two Games Joined is a music project inspired by nerdy things. Mostly video games. No genre boundaries included.
MEMBERS: Gnegon - direction, vocals, bass guitar, writing, visual art Flyghtning - programming, production, keys, vocoder Kelen - electric guitar Two Games Joined is a band/project that builds on the foundations of nerdcore, and strives to expand as vastly on them as possible. The main idea is to take inspiration, cues, themes and songs from all things nerdy - video games, comics, cartoons, sci-fi and fantasy altogether, etc. - and try to take it in a direction that both sounds cool and carries a cohesive meaning. Two Games Joined rarely operates on songs alone; rather, ideas are constructed into releases (so far only EPs and singles) as a meaningful whole. As a result, Two Games Joined doesn't really have a genre - it's "post-nerdcore" which is a term we made up and pretty much sums up everything written out in this paragraph. Most often, it's some sort of mixture of rock/metal and electronics.

Story behind the song
I wanted to make an illusion that the song will be a typical, calm final track and then suddenly break the schema with doubling the tempo. The song's lyrics reflect (heh) the music - the character has noticed how awful he's become, but he can't accept this, and instead blames it on sheer logic and the whole idea of solipsism - it's all in his head, so everything is a reflection of himself. Thus, he doesn't need to be shy of being cruel, because there's no-one to be shy before. At the very last, he finally seems to be calm... or is he?
Lyrics
My world is falling apart It's showing its scars Pretty ugly now Just like I've become The more I drop down The worse I learn of you The more I'm broken The more I see Where does it stop? Where does it stop? And I can't take this! You're not as simple as it seemed Maybe it's the age But you know, it makes sense So much sense this way Maybe if we weren't so busy hating We'd find ourselves complete But I can't even remember How I ever was at peace, let's go! The more I drop down The worse I learn of you The more I'm broken The more I see The more I peel off The layers of honey The more acid pours from within Feels like a reflection Of a reflection of a reflection And I'm not stopping there Thousands of lives taken away Somewhere out there. In sorrow I stay Maybe happiness is all about Being deaf to dying shouts Stop telling me, I know this It's so obvious now, I know this Another infarction healed, I know this It's always there somewhere Feels like a reflection Of a reflection of a reflection Of a reflection of a reflection Of a reflection of a reflection Of hate Feels like a reflection Of a reflection of a reflection Of a reflection of a reflection Of a reflection of a reflection Of hate Feels like a reflection Of a reflection of a reflection Of a reflection of a reflection Of a reflection of a reflection Of hate Feels like a reflection Of a reflection of a reflection Of a reflection of a reflection Of a reflection of a reflection Of hate The more I drop down The worse I learn of you The more I'm broken The more I see The more I peel off The layers of honey The more acid pours from within The more I drop down The worse I learn of you The more I'm broken The more I see The more I peel off The layers of honey The more acid pours from within The more I drop down The worse I learn of you The more I'm broken The more I see You're a part of me
