Story behind the song
Written by the two Johns of They Might Be Giants. This enterprising duo have made their career on catchy melodies and idiosyncratically smart lyrics. From Falnsburgh and Linnel I've learned that rhyming is not a requirement. When "Gone Fishin'" was originally released I was able to get a copy to them through industry channels so to the best of my knowledge they were made aware of this version. My appologies to them for errors I made in verbal recognition. A song I wish I wrote but I didn't so I covered it.
