Story behind the song
This was just an exercise in learning to better use my recording set up and my gear. It turned out pretty damn cool tho!
The beat is a Yuval Gabay drum beat I sampled/modified from the Soul Coughing song Moon Sammy.
I sang the vocals thru a RCA 77DX Ribbon Mic.
I sang backing vocals thru elements I found around the house thru an SM57.
Main acoustic guitar is a 60's Hofner Archtop ran direct into ProTools.
Bass was a late 90s USA Fender P-Bass ran direct into ProTools.
I used a 50s White brand Lap Steel thru a Zinky Blue Velvet 25watt 1X12 combo amp miced with an SM57.
