A humorous social comment about the Manic Millennium catering fiasco. The song which got me signed to Crai Records.

Story behind the song
This track fronts the TAFFIA EP on Crai Records but it is a non-exclusive contract so I am able to release the song here too. It was rave-reviewed in the NME and featured by BBC Radio 1 Wales.
Lyrics
You're a liar, Nicky Wire, You promised the bar prices wouldn't go higher, You said the stadium would be the "biggest pub," But we couldn't get served and we couldn't buy no grub. 6 quid for a double short Is more than twice the price of drinks I've bought. The same again for a Red Bull and spirit Has got to be a rip-off hasn't it? 3 pound a pint, well, maybe in London, But here in Wales it's going to get frowned on And 15 quid for a cheesey pizza Is hardly a price that is going to please ya. I'm sure it's a different story if you're in a band With whatever you want from a rider at hand But for us your fans who flocked to fill the floor Paying prices like these would leave us very poor. Now I appreciate,Nicky, that you've been on the wagon So perhaps you don't know the price for a flagon But James and Sean both count booze amongst their vices And they wouldn't have been happy paying extortionate prices; And then the queues were too much for many, Even if you had the money you couldn't spend any. When the midnight chimes sounded many were still sober, Many more still were when it was all over. Complaints have flooded in to the local press For the catering was certain to depress. Yes, the prices we were charged was taking the piss And the masses would be foolish if they tolerate this!
