With a well-churned mix of sounds including psychedelic pop, fuzzed-out rock and jangly folk, St. Louis band Brain Regiment delivers songs with introspective lyrics that echo prevailing themes of today's American robot. Brain Regiment has performed with such acts as Brian Jonestown Massacre, Marah, Bobby Bare Jr., Gingersol, and Visqueen. Prior to forming Brain Regiment in 2003, primary singer-songwriter Corey Saathoff issued two St. Louis area recordings: "Fresh" (2001) and "Troubling Times" (2003). Saathoff was also a member of St. Louis rock act Jerkwater Junction (1997-2000).
