I Know Who Threw A Beer At Toby
I live just outside of Nashville and write country, country/rock, and novelty songs. Thanks for listening.
Story behind the song
Based on February 2009 concert incident in Pikeville, Kentucky, where a fan threw a beer onstage at a Toby Keith concert and Toby went into the audience after him.

I Know Who Threw A Beer At Toby
(©2009 Bob Beckley/Ronnie Lee Hurst)
She drove into Pikeville unnoticed
Her blonde hair was dyed cow-pie brown
Her camouflage clothes made her look like
A country boy out on the town
She slipped in a side door left open
When Toby was starting to play
She bought her a beer at concessions
And made her way down to the stage
(Chorus):
I know who threw a beer at Toby
My, how some things never change
I know who threw a beer at Toby
Can you say Natalie Maines
Toby ran into the audience
And had a few words with ol' Nat
But he didn't know who she really was
Under her fake 'stache and hat
But ...
(Chorus):
I know who threw a beer at Toby
My, how some things never change
I know who threw a beer at Toby
Can you say Natalie Maines
(Bridge):
Now the secret is out to the public
From deep in the Kentucky woods
And it might sound weird but the truth is
As a redneck she looked pretty good
(Chorus):
I know who threw a beer at Toby
My, how some things never change
I know who threw a beer at Toby
Can you say Natalie Maines
(Chorus):
I know who threw a beer at Toby
My, how some things never change
I know who threw a beer at Toby
Can you say Natalie Maines
