Story behind the song
A totally modern (and legally licensed) cover of one of the Beatles greatest songs ever! Was released previously on the Roland VS Users Group (thebiglist) 4 CD set Beatles compilation.
The idea for the open tuning arrangement comes from a song I wrote called, ‘‘Song to Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds’’, soon to be released! I use the chords and rhythm, from my song, in place of the original Beatles chords and rhythm. This gives the song a fresh original sound. It's totally different now, musically. The melody of ‘‘Song to Lucy’’ is what's being played for the middle guitar solo. On the soon to be released, Trickshot CD ‘‘Time Traveler, on ‘‘Song to Lucy’’, I do the opposite by playing the melody from ‘‘Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds’’ as the instrumental solo break.
The amazing, multi-talented, Tony Chrisos made this all happen. Tony plays the lead guitars, the bass part, drums and he and his wife, Mary, sing background vocals. VP
