Latinny (is that a word?) Pop song. It's subtitled 'The Corny Song' because it is kinda corny. Nat Eastham on drums, Kent Robinson on guitar and backup vocals, me on everything else.
About Emily Procter. We went out one time. She was hot and I wanted to impress her, so I wrote this song and recorded the original demo version over the weekend here in Phoenix. Nat added the drum parts from Oklahoma, then sent it back and Kent added the guitar parts and BG vocals. This is really still a demo version.
Do you want to know
What it is that scares me so?
Corny as it sounds, you get to me.
Do you want to hear
That every time you're near
I can never find the words to say?
Don't you realize?
Can't you see it in my eyes?
Corny as it sounds, I'm a slave to your charms.
Don't you wonder why
I always act a little shy,
Even though I want you here in my arms?
You don't know what you do to me
Emily, Emily.
Love is blind, but can't you see
Emily, Emily,
Emily?
Don't you understand,
When you take my hand
Corny as it sounds, I get weak in the knees?
Don't you think I know
That you're hurting so?
Maybe I should take a chance and say ...
You don't know what you do to me
Emily, Emily.
Love is blind, but can't you see
Emily, Emily,
Emily?
It may sound corny, but it's true
I never met no-one like you.
You're in my thoughts;
you're even in my dreams.
If I could only make you see
Just how much you mean to me,
Maybe it's not
As corny as it seems!
Don't you know by now,
I'm gonna get to you, somehow?
And I'll put that smile back on your face.
You don't know what you do to me
Emily, Emily.
Love is blind, but can't you see
Emily, Emily,
Emily?
