Jim and I collaborated for a while (in fact, you hear him singing on some of my demos). This is a song that he wrote and that I loved. I asked him if I could do a MIDI sequence of this song, and he said yes. What you hear is the result.

ONLY YOU
Words and music by Jim OBrien
Verse 1:
Every now and then, I write you a letter,
And tell you how I wish that we could be together...
But we never see each other anymore,
And whenever I call, it seems youve just stepped out the door...
Chorus:
I wish you never had to go...
I dont want anybody else to hold me,
Only you...
I dont want to live without you now...
I never knew that it would hurt so bad...
Verse 2:
Every weekend, I think maybe I can see you...
I would drive all day and night if I could just be with you...
And this is the time you know, it wont get any better...
Why cant we just run away, run away forever...
Chorus:
I wish you never had to go...
I dont want anybody else to hold me,
Only you...
I dont want to live without you now...
I never knew that it would hurt so bad...
Bridge:
Weve been together for so long...
Dont throw it all away...
Oh, I love you now more than words could ever say...
Ever say...
(Instrumental ad lib)
Its okay, I guess, we will both survive...
After all of the happiness, I just cant say goodbye...
Chorus:
I wish you never had to go...
I dont want anybody else to hold me,
Only you...
I dont want to live without you now...
I never knew that it would hurt so bad...
