She's One Chickasaw
2006 Jody Dickey / James Odle, Jr
Mosey on up to the bar cowboy
Can I offer you a cold brew
I see you're here with the Rodeo
Used to be in my blood too
Rode in almost every arena
From Texas up through Canada
Wore my silver spurs at every show
married a filly named Atlanta
Chorus
She's one Chickasaw who loved to kick me
From Texarkana to Tennessee
No tethering that hi-spirited Li'l gal
Couldn't keep her corralled
The bull riders loved the way she swished her tail
And most times she showed up to pay my bail
From Texarkana to Tennessee
She's one Chickasaw who loved to kick me
verse
Getting unhitched was quite a battle
she told that judge I done her wrong
Sneaky as a cattle rustling thief
that judge fell for her sad song
took my new saddle and silver spurs
and our two year old twin daughters
packed my new pick-up and they were gone
cleaned me out like Mexican water
(repeat chorus)
Atlanta was like a wild mustang
heard she got herself hitched again
knew that filly would end up bad news
now she's got two pair of twins
Well now I'm the bouncer in this bar
sweeping floors and stacking chairs
don't rodeo much but feel safer
than in that big bedroom we had upstairs
(repeat chorus)
