A love song for my daughter Elisabeth and her family.....who live so far away....and 4 everyone who hates to say good-bye.
This summer we drove from Joplin, Missouri past Bentonville, Arkansas to pick up Elisabeth and her family for our son's wedding. Three days later we made a return trip so that they could catch their flight to Roanoke, Virginia. We don't see them often enough because they live so far away from our home in Dodge City, Kansas.
I did not want to say good bye "On a Sunday Morning".
"On a Sunday Morning" (c) 2008 by Max G. Bunyan
(1)
Driving down to Bentonville
On a Sunday Morning
South on Highway 71
On a Sunday Morning
(Chorus)
Sunny skies
Time just seems to fly
I did not want to say good bye
On a Sunday Morning
(2)
Blake's asleep in the back seat
Claudia reads a story to Cory
Matt and Elisabeth side by side
Praising God for His Glory
(Chorus)
Sunny skies
Time just seems to fly
I did not want to say good bye
On a Sunday Morning
(3)
We got to the airport in plenty of time
On a Sunday Morning
Time for photos, hugs, and good byes
On a Sunday Morning
(Chorus)
Airplane in the sky
Tear drops in my eyes
I did not want to say good bye
On a Sunday Morning
(Instrumental Bridge)
(4)
In my heart there's a memory
Of a Sunday Morning
Elisabeth and her family
On a Sunday Morning
(Chorus)
Airplane in the sky
I just cried and cried
I did not want to say good bye
On a Sunday Morning
(Exit Chorus)
Airplane flying high, high, high, high, high, high in the sky
Tear drops in my heart
Tear drops in my eyes
I just cried and cried and cried
I did not want to say good bye
I did not want to say good bye
On a Sunday Morning
I did not want to say good bye
On a Sunday Morning
