rootsy song about moving on
This is one of those songs that fell out of the sky and right into my lap. I remember being in the basement on a cold winters day and and I started playing the chords and the words just fell out. Probably wrote it in about a half an hour.
The Price Of Letting go
Tell me all your problems Lay em in a row
We’ve got this moment and I’ve nowhere else to go
Mixed up emotions and tired clichés
They don’t mean nothing when you feel this way
Pay The Price Of Letting Go
Pay The Price Of Letting Go
Songs in the attic chains on your heart
Just where it came from it doesn’t matter now
Cause one day you’ll wake up you’ll laugh about it all
One day you’ll wake up when the winner takes it all
Pay The Price Of Letting Go
And every that you wonder
It will steal your life away
It’s like a ghost that haunts you
That fades in the grey
Songs in the attic chains on your heart
Just where it came from it doesn’t matter now
Cause one day you’ll wake up rise above it all
One day you’ll wake up when the loser takes it all
(You must pay)
Pay The Price Of Letting Go
(So much to)
Pay The Price Of Letting Go
(You must pay)
Pay The Price Of Letting Go
(So much)
