Rising above the noise and finding one's own voice
Started out as a song about asking politicians to speak from their hearts and be truthful and loving with the citizens of the world. When Hillary Clinton shed a tear during the 2008 Connecticut primary and later spoke of finding her voice, the title was born.
FIND MY VOICE
2008 Higuera / Forbes
There’s a war on TV
There’s the war I fight inside
A battle between heart and mind
There’s a world I’m creating
With every word that I’m saying
To cross this great divide, I had to . . .
Find my voice
Find my stride
Lose my fear and open wide
Find my strength
In your eyes
I had to rise above the noise
To find my voice
In the middle of the storm
When the thunder gets so loud
I will listen to my heart and stand my ground
Every day moving closer
To the change that I hope for
To share this truth I found, I had to . . .
Find my voice
Find my stride
Lose my fear and open wide
Find my strength
In your eyes
I had to rise above the noise
To find my voice
You decide
Don’t just buy everything they sell
It’s time to make another choice
Find your voice
Find your stride
Lose your fear and open wide
Find your strength
In my eyes
We can rise above the noise
