This is a line from the Torah, 'And the Children of Israel will keep the Sabbath,' Ex 31:16.
This is the V'shamru I grew up with at KAM Isaiah Israel on the South Side of Chicago, written by Max Janowski. It's among the more beautiful ones I've come across, as well as it's always nice to have alternatives to the standards.
"The Children of Israel will keep the Sabbath. They will make Shabbat for their generations, an cosmic covenant. Between Me and the Children of Israel- it is an eternal, cosmic sign. For in six days the Great Creator made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day, She rested." Ex 31:16.
