Story behind the song
This song was inspired by the circling nesting birds off the cliffs of Shetland as they ride the thermals in their hundreds like a massive spiral. Nose to tail they take their place among the throng each one perfectly aware of its place and yet one of thousands of nameless little beings. Do they recognise each other as we do. do they talk to the neighbours and know who their parents were lol who knows....
