Story behind the song
This is the first good alternative to the standard Aleinu that I've yet come across. I've also heard the tune used for Mizmor l'David in Kabbalat Shabbat, as well as Yah Ribon Olam. I don't know whose tune this is. Thank you, Michelle, for introducing this tune to BCI summer 2008!

See the words to the Aleinu, the last prayer we say before the Kaddish at the end of every weekday and shabbat service. The words invoke a future time when faith and commitment to real values will replace materialism and small-mindedness.
