Story behind the song
"The Victor" was a Lebonese folk song written several hundred years ago and modified by Dick Dale and the Del-Tones. "The Victor" was one of the powerful surf tunes that came out of the "surf" craze back in the day. It was one of my favorites back when I was a Del-Tone and I had always wanted to record it.
