Story behind the song
This is the prettiest piece of music I’ve written. I took inspiration from Duke Ellington, who wrote numerous instrumental numbers with melodies so strong you find it hard to believe there aren’t any lyrics to go with them. I modeled my guitar playing on Joe Pass’ chord-melody style.
