No band, really. Just me and a couple family members in a bedroom studio.
I am a singer/songwriter at heart, but reality has me working a full time job. I don't play in a band, but love to sit around a campfire sharing my songs with anyone willing to listen.

Story behind the song
Hunted on this ranch and played around the campfire with the owner and his wife. I was told by the owner I could come back and hunt free if I wrote a song about his ranch. This is the result. We became very good friends afterward.........and still are.
Lyrics
There's a place I hunt in Mason County, "Bout twenty miles, or so, from Fredericksburg. A little piece of heaven unlike any Other place I've seen or even heard. The ridges there are covered up with cedar, Persimmon trees, live oaks and prickly pear. Come on down and visit Kothe's Pasture And you'll see what I mean when you get there. Kothe's Pasture.... It's my favorite place to bowhunt deer. Come on down and visit Kothe's Pasture And I'm sure you'll be back again next year. Now, you'll see lots of deer and other critters. To get a shot is all but guaranteed. And if you can just control the jitters You'll head to camp and hang one in the tree. You won't bowhunt a ranch that's any better For seeing game and tagging a good buck. So bring your sticks and strings to Kothe's Pasture And sit up in a stand and try your luck. At Kothe's Pasture.... It's my favorite place to bowhunt deer. Come on down and visit Kothe's Pasture And I'm sure you'll be back again next year. Yeah, bring your sticks and strings to Kothe's Pasture And take some memories home when you leave there. Kothe's Pasture.
