The Refugee is a new artist straight out of Sac-Town. He has always been very good at writing, and picked up an interest in secular rap music around the age of 11. At the age of 14 he was introduced to Holy Hip Hop better known as Christian Rap. He started writing rhymes, inspired by T-Bone's Bone-A-Fide album and Taking Gospel To The Streets vol. 2, which were the first HHH albums he purchased. However, it was rather hard for him to record his rhymes, not having any beats or a program to record them with. One day, he wrote a rhyme about the books of the Bible in order, and decided the lyrics were too good not to record. He met up with a guy in the youth group, Solid, whom he knew as Paul Rogers. Paul had been recording songs for a while, as well as producing them. The Refugee showed Solid the lyrics he wrote, and a couple months later, he was sitting in front of a computer recording his first song. After this, The Refugee downloaded his own demo of FL Studio, and ever since has been in love with writing and recording his raps. The Refugee is on the lookout for shows and promotional opportunities. Currently he is unsigned. For booking: (916)204-3629
