A tribute song to my good friend Barry Ward (Singer-Songwriter and Recording Artist)
Barry Ward is a phenomenal cowboy/western songwriter and performer. He is also a solid Christian, my musical brother in Jesus Christ, and a good friend who has encouraged me in my music over the past 4 years.
We had lunch recently and talked about his move...transition from Copeland, Kansas to a ranch near Colorado Springs, Colorado.
"Most of All" is my look inside Barry's heart...expressed as a tribute to him in this song.
"Most of All" (A Tribute to Barry Ward)
(1)
I was born near Copeland, Kansas
Lived there all my life.
Now I'm bound for Colorado
and a new life with my wife.
(Chorus)
In my heart I'll remember
Winter, Springtime, Summer, and Fall
But I'll miss my friends on those Kansas prairies...Most of all.
I'll miss my friends on those Kansas prairies...Most of all.
(2)
I planted corn, wheat, and raised three children
With my beautiful bride.
Now the farming's done, our kids are grown
and it's time to take a ride.
(Chorus)
Just over the mountains
Winter, Springtime, Summer, and Fall
But, I'll still miss my friends on those Kansas prairies...Most of all
I'll still miss my friends on those Kansas prairies...Most of all
(3)
Life is good, and by the grace of God
I'll follow His new plan.
I'll miss my mom, I still miss my dad,
Our blood is in this land.
(Chorus)
In my heart, there's a fresh breath of Heaven
A new Winter, Springtime, Summer, and Fall
and in my heart, I know that I must follow, follow, follow
God's Call...Most of all
In my heart, I must follow, follow, follow God's Call...Most of all
Most of All! Most of all...
I must follow God's Call...Most of all.
