Patiently watching the sun leave her alone
"Reach to me" she says with a look of eagerness fading with age
It's good to be home
It's good to be home
She says wishfully
She can't fool the sun
And she knows no one will turn the night back to day
In her eyes, she held a disguise
Just to hear the gods speak all around
She heard their cries fade with time
As silently, tears hit the ground
Blissfully watching the flood robbing the clouds from the sky
"I can breathe" she says with a look of awestruck apathy
It's good to be home
It's good to be home
She says confidently
She closes her eyes
And when she says goodbye, she's speaking in tongues
