Artist picture
Blues guitarist, pianist and keyboard synth player, and composer of neo-classical music. Lead guitarist of Blues-Rock Bands.
I have been a musician - performer and composer - for close to 50 years, and I've been playing guitar for about 42 of those years. I have become mostly a player of Blues as of late and recently was invited to be the lead guitarist of a revived Blues-Rock 60's band. This picture is of me, and yes, Les Paul! And that's my Les Paul Deluxe, which I play along with my Clapton signature stratocaster.

Story behind the song
Gold Love is a collaboration between Grahme Leadbetter and myself (Jim Signorile) and is a composition that is based on an interpretation of Eric Clapton's "Old Love", but not an attempt to be a cover of that beautiful song, but rather a new song that is inspired by it. I got this backing as a very pleasant surprise on a Friday night, and this was just the first or second take I did playing over it the next day, and this was not edited after recording it. This work really is mostly Grahme's - I (Jim) play lead guitar on it. Grahme put together the midi drums and added keyboards, added strings via the keyboard and of course bass (beautifully played!). Grahme used his Hofner bass and I used my EC strat (Goldie) through my Blues Jr amp (recorded with a Shure SM-57 mic into my PC and Abode audition 1.5). I also used a Boss CS-3 modded compressor-sustainer pedal for the first time and I also had my Boss BD-2 Blues Driver and FDR-1 pedals on board. We hope you enjoy this, our thank to Eric for the inspiration to come up with this interpretation, and we wish all of you a very happy 2008! Jim S and Grahme L (Tired Starlings)
