While on duty at a hospital way back in 2005, I overheard my group mates talking about a girl. Out of curiosity, I joined their discussion. Then later on they pointed me at her direction. From afar she gave a beautiful smile. Well, I’m not sure if it was really intended for me but that moment something unexplainable inside me wanted to burst out. Immediately, I wrote a few lines of lyrics then the following day I finished the song at the hospital while staring at her. I dedicate this song to Ms. Iza Zipagan, to my family, and to my friends. – Marc Jayson Mallanao
SONGWRITER’S PROFILE
According to Jayson, “A great song is a product of great feelings and great experiences.” This very simple man from Tuguegarao used to write cheers and jingles during his high school days. A follower of Eraserheads, Rivermaya, Greenday, ItchyWorms, Bob Marley, and Firehouse, he integrates different songwriting styles and comes up with fresh ideas. Jayson is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He loves travelling and reading books.
BAND PROFILE
28 Shot Delay was a champion of Battle of the Bands in Tuguegarao. Having a blind lead guitarist has never been a hindrance for the band as a whole to showcase their talents which are truly worth everyone’s admiration.
