A rock ballad.
***Originally recorded on cassette tape with two mid-quality mics almost 28 years ago...not the best quality, but the only recording currently in existence.***
This is the first song I wrote that I felt good enough about to perform with a band. I composed it in my bedroom on Maryvale Street. I was searching and...looking back...I definitely got what I was looking for.
Listen to my story, was walking along the road
Dreamt I saw two small ships sailing on the meadow
On the green, green meadow oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh, sailing on the meadow
As I stepped aboard the first a woman caught my mind
Come to me, be set free, know love eternally
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh come to me
Looking past her flowing hair I gazed upon the earth
Hopelessly turning and churning
Beside my lovely lady I sailed into a cloud
Days of indecision were left behind me now
Inside herself she locked me til morning came to light
Come to me, be set free, know love eternally
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh come to me
Looking past her flowing hair I gazed upon the earth
Hopelessly turning and churning
