Guru Monkey is a workshop band, which was loosely formed in 2005. The band is primarily based in Tsukuba, Kashima and Narita, Japan. Members include, J.Walker, lyrics, rhythm guitar, vocals, Joel Shawn, lead, rhythm, keyboards, production and various, Ken O'keefe, drums, and Bruno Shakir, bass, vocals and production.

Story behind the song
I've always loved songs which talk about leaving the old behind, freedom, running away and escaping. A lot of influence here from Tom Petty, Steve Earle and just about anyone who wrote a song about the above. Wide open skies are also a favourite. This was inspired also by Joel Shawn's song, 'Seems To Me', from 'Dark Way Home'.
