A Jangly riff-driven indie-pop song about stress
A song written about the stress and demands of modern everyday living. That day when you are late for work, and you hit heavy traffic on the way. You've got to drop the kids off at school,
and all the road signs seem specifically designed just for you.
They scream....STOP...GIVE WAY...30 MILES PER HOUR,
which seems like a snail's pace when you're in a hurry.
After a nightmare of a day at work,
you face the same assault course on the way home,
and whilst you are stuck in traffic,
all you want to do is go to the top of your hill,
away from everything and everybody,
and scream at the top of your voice........."LET ME BREATHE".
This song is about that day.......
Yet another lesson we are forced to learn
Another day with decisions to discern
I may be wrong but I may also be right
I sit and think till the middle of the night
Let me breathe, Oh let me breathe
Take the signs out down outta' my face and let me breathe
You can walk but you must never run
Give me a smile tell me you are having fun
You can speak but I don't want you to shout
Open the door won't someone let me out
Let me breathe, oh let me breathe
Take the signs out down outta' my face and let me breathe
