Story behind the song
I went to a school where there were a lot of bully types i the form of "Gangstas'" and "Street Thugs". The hoodlums were the source of much aggravation for me as we almost always got into some sort of violent fight with each other before the years end, usually resulting in some form of minor personal injury.
It was one of the first tunes to use the theme of death as a threat. I was getting into Ted Nugent's pollitical views at the time, about the 2nd ammendment rights, and was thinking (and I still do) that maybe we, the populace should arm ourselves against these hoodwinks. Nothing is more of a deterrent than death.
