The heat of the day
Turned to the warmth of the night
And ancient walls of stone
They saw the lightning strike
Dark clouds
reeled and raced across the sky
Solitary stars appeared
Before seeming to die
And we sat up all night
And watched the last of the summer storms
And we sat and we drank all night
To the last of the summer storms
Our faces lit
By lightning light
You know that time could stop forever
On such a wonderful night
