Story behind the song

It was one of those long days.. which became a long night, then turned back into a day again.. there was no need for sleep- since the time was ebbed somehow with ceaseless creativity. I was inspired, and wrote this song about my own perspective of love. I had written the words, had a great starting riff, laid down some tracks and the idea, and this guy, who as it turns out, had no idea what love was, and was unable to fufill his promises to let his heart grow conceptually and learn, made some bass tracks, and  helped me finish this song. I watched his heart grow colder as the years passed, and his own creativity with it. He forgot what I was talking about in this song, and went down a dark road into the unknown. I remember who he used to be with fondness- and sometimes sadness that he was unable to make the journey with me~ since I feel he is now lost.  
I wake up each day, finding myself alone in a place I did not complete with my desires, trying not to forget what I've learned when I get overtaken by these distractions of his memory. 
I realize that I am fortunate that my own heart knows not to surrender, and that it must always keep moving forward so that I will continue to learn, grow and change. So I can find my way back home where my heart will be free to love again.
