Lyrics
[07-10-07] If you’ve ever wondered just exactly what The Pope does in the world, promoting world peace and denouncing territorial occupations might be two of his daily to-dos... But in the course of just two months, Pope Benedict has managed to beef up his honey-do list with days’ long hypocrisy, and night-time blasphemy. Take today: The Pope announced a partnership with German tabloid The Bild, to publish what will be called Benedicts Bible, a kind of Game Day Program for an inside peek at the Day in the Life of the Papacy. And if you’re familiar with the German newspaper, you’ll become even more familiar with Venus Williams left nipple, which happens to grace the cover of today’s edition. Bet you can’t tell who wears the pants in THAT relationship. Then there’s last week’s boycott on Amnesty International. The Vatican has called for all Catholics to stop donating money to the Human Rights organization, because of Amnesty’s insistence on human rights for everybody—yes, even if you were brutally raped by an African soldier. Jeez, you let one victim have rights, pretty soon they all want rights. It’s as if his parochial leanings from his days in the Hitler Youth seem to finally be paying off. From one side of his mouth, he renounces godless soft porn and moral reprehensibility, but from the other finds working with the devil isn’t so bad after all, especially if it’s in the name of God. And give to the poor and the weak—unless the poor happen to be weak from the daily rapes the Vatican equates to a romp in the hay. It’s no surprise Benedict never wanted the gig, and in fact in the days leading up to his election, Benedict even prayed to God for an early retirement. Benedict later would recount humorously how God did not listen to him that day; obviously, he’s not paying attention today either.
