Story behind the song
Waaay back, in 2001, I joined a Montgomery Alabama based Metal Band called Lithium as the lead guitarist. At their shows I did guitar solos, and often threw bits of Nintendo music in with the usual jam/metal/showoff stuff.
As a joke, I used to throw random weird shit on my demo tapes just for my own amusement, this was one of them, the full Super Mario Bros. theme. It was one of those things to make you look crossways, lol.
It was recorded on the trusty Jag-Stang double track, with a Casio SA-100 delivering the drums, and the allmighty Ironbird bass, that's all I had to work with, on a 200 Watt Peavey XR684 PA Mixer, and 2 Sony Tape Decks, and a bunch of questionably soldered wires.
