Story behind the song
So far, I've collaborated with just about ALL of my DAILY DOSE OF FUNK brothers--
The BEATMASTER-1 is the latest. Also, this will make the SECOND Brand New Track I've uploaded within 4 Days!!! One-For-One (Lawrence Wise And The Cosmic Funk Orchestra, and OSMOSIS!).
Like most of my Newest Tracks, this one is FRESH (only 4 Hours Old, at the time of THIS Posting): Friday Afternoon, June 15, 2007 @ 3:30 pm EST.
What I did was extend The BEATMASTER'S "Orchestral Funk" by 23 seconds (using the opening as BREAKS), and as for the lyrics---
I 'improvised' them during the re-editing. So, I wrote down only ONE VERSE, ONE CHANT, and ONE Joke-Phrase----
and the rest are ALL Ab-libs, carefully edited to maintain a flow.
Bear with me, because I'm getting better at digital recording as I go along (so, if some of the vocals sound 'earth-shatteringly loud'), then...ok.
Now, as for the song title and song idea: Use the crowded Beltway during 'rush-hour' as a metaphor for the crowded Dance Floor (especially when the ladies are-literally-'Bumper 2 Bumper'; 'Booty to Booty' on the crowded Dance Floor!). Yea honeys, Back That Thang On Up!!!
