You’d think running for president while acting as a Senator, would be beneficial to your run. Think about it: You have the direct ability to orchestrate your Issues into a transparent snow globe, for all your potential constituents to marvel.
But that’s exactly what Hillary Clinton & Barrack Obama didn’t do, come time for the vote on the Iraq War Funding Bill. Instead of stepping to the plate, with a vote for all to see, and a lead for all to follow, Clinton & Obama moseyed to the back of chambers, casting their votes nearly last.
They say they voted last so they could expend all of their available minutes to digest their vote. But all they did was confuse their liberal base, and alienate their conservative base. And while you think that might be a bad thing, think again. By doing so, they allowed the other side of the aisle to take command of a Bill that goes against 73% of what the country wants, and save face by saying their votes wouldn’t have mattered, and on the other hand they can still say they voted against the bill, a lesson soundly learnt from the vote they originally cast at the start of war.
But, the bill passed with another blank check and with no timetables, a pivotal issue the Democrats said would not be compromised. It’s like they’ve each been read “Daddy Drinks Because I Cry” as a kid, and somehow deep inside you really do ask for the abuse your live-in boyfriend manages with every bad drunk, blaming you for breaking the Nintendo controller with your forehead.
And so, the dysfunctional relationship known as the House n Senate, go on with their anger management seminars, their marriage retreats, and tantric fallacies, like all good fake relationships, but not without some cathartic jabs at their broken girlfriend;
Both McCain & Guiliani have intimated an attack on American Soil if a Democrat were to be elected.
And when members of your own political leadership, start doling out blame for the next future attack on your current adversary, it’s a damn good bet this country will be attacked before the next Presidential election. Because Fear, always wins out.
