Lyrics
The Key A crystal child translated From a bright and distant star A gift of higher knowledge Transitioned from afar A higher consciousness Now trapped between two worlds One minute they’re here with us When something comes unfurled CHORUS: Searching for the key A mystery in our time Autism is the word we say It affects all humankind. Searching for the key A missing puzzle piece Einstein and DaVinci Prevailed and did not cease Never losing hope Being all that they could be They were searching, searching for the key So more complete and whole Though viewed as odd and lost Not worth the extra effort To the side they’re often tossed They’re bringing us a message Of love for one and all Acceptance without judgment If we’re to rise and not to fall REPEAT CHORUS BRIDGE: It’s a national epidemic All throughout this land With numbers on the rise And too few who understand It surely raises questions Won’t everyone please see The toll it takes on those who care, On people like you and me There’s answers out there somewhere Someday we’ll find the key Treasures locked inside the minds For everyone to see There still is love and hope And in our faith we pray The chains will all be broken And we long to see that day REPEAT CHORUS ©2007, Marc ‘Bear’ Grindle, BMI, All rights reserved
